What this covers
This policy explains what Corelink LLC does with personal information collected through this website. It does not cover the software products we sell — those are governed by their publishers’ own privacy policies, and we have no access to the data they process.
What we collect
Information you send us. When you submit the quote request form we receive your name, your company, your email address, and optionally your phone number, the number of computers you have, the security product you currently run, and whatever you write in the message field. When you email or call us, we receive whatever you tell us.
Technical information from hosting. This site is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, request times, the pages requested and user-agent strings. We use this only to keep the site working and secure.
Nothing else. This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no tracking pixels, and at present runs no analytics at all. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the change is made, and the mechanism for it lives in a single file so the change is visible in our source history.
Why we use it
We use the information you send to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, fulfil an order, and contact you about a renewal of something you have bought from us. We use it for nothing else.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build profiles. We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.
Who it is shared with
We use a small number of service providers, each of which processes information only on our instructions:
- a website hosting provider, which serves this site and keeps server logs
- an email delivery provider, which transmits form submissions to our mailbox
- an email and office provider, which stores our correspondence
- where you place an order, the distributor and the software publisher, who need the licence holder’s details to issue and register the licence
We may disclose information where we are legally required to, and we will tell you if that happens unless we are prohibited from doing so.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not become orders are kept for two years, so that we can recognise a returning enquiry and so that we have a record of what was quoted.
Order records are kept for seven years, because tax and accounting rules require it.
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so except where we are required to retain it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and ask us to stop contacting you. Email the address on our contact page and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Residents of some United States states have specific rights under their own state privacy laws, including rights of access, correction, deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We honour these requests from anyone who asks, without requiring you to demonstrate that a particular law applies to you.
Security
Form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS. Access to our mailbox and records is limited to the people who need it. We do not store payment card numbers; payments are handled by a payment provider, and we see only the confirmation.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Children
This site is directed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change, and the last-updated date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be described on the page rather than made quietly.
